Construction Begins June 1, 2026
The project team is pleased to announce that construction activities for the 3150 El Camino Real Development Project are scheduled to begin on or around June 1, 2026.
This milestone marks the start of a new mixed-use residential development that will contribute additional housing opportunities and improvements to the area. Throughout construction, the project team is committed to maintaining open communication with neighbors, businesses, and the broader community while working to minimize disruption whenever possible.
Initial Construction Phase: Utility Relocation and Demolition
The first phase of construction will consist of utility relocation and demolition activities. This phase is currently anticipated to occur from June 1, 2026 through approximately August 28, 2026.
During this phase, crews will be preparing the site for future construction by relocating existing utilities, removing existing site improvements, and performing related preparatory work.
Construction Hours
Construction activities are generally expected to occur during the following hours:
Monday through Friday: 8AM – 6PM
Saturday: 9AM – 6PM
While construction activities are primarily expected during these hours, schedules may vary based on operational requirements, utility coordination, weather conditions, and other project-related factors.
Anticipated Traffic, Bicycle, and Pedestrian Impacts
Community members may notice temporary traffic and pedestrian circulation changes during this initial phase of construction.
Current anticipated impacts include:
Daily intermittent lane closures on northbound and southbound El Camino Real. Through traffic will remain permitted.
Daily intermittent southbound bicycle lane closures on El Camino Real between 8AM and 3PM.
Daily intermittent southbound sidewalk closures on El Camino Real between 8AM and 3PM.
Temporary pedestrian detours will be posted when sidewalk closures are necessary.
All closures will be coordinated in accordance with approved traffic control plans and applicable agency requirements.
